Forging New Paths: Transitioning to Sustainable Sacred Community

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Members of the Community,

It is with deep reflection and a sense of purpose that I announce my decision to take a sabbatical from the field of facilitating sexual shamanism and personal development. This transition marks the end of one meaningful chapter and the beginning of another, as I embark on a new journey to further our shared vision of creating transformative spaces and communities.

Over the past thirteen years since I began my journey in sacred sexuality in 2012, I have witnessed and contributed to significant growth and evolution within our field. However, the current state of affairs in the industry no longer provides the vision for me to feel fully aligned to offer my service. This sabbatical is a commitment to self-care, impactful focus, and trailblazing new horizons.

Navigating Industry Shifts

While I remain deeply committed to our mission, I have observed evolving trends within our industry that warrant attention:

• Lack of Accountability and Transparency: There is a growing lack of true accountability and openness regarding harm and unethical behaviors, making it difficult to maintain consistent ethical standards.
  
• Low Barriers of Entry: The ease with which individuals can enter this field and claim expertise—with minimal training or preparation—has diluted the quality and credibility of the field, affecting the reputation of seasoned professionals.
  
• Questionable Practices and Ethics: The rise of activities misrepresented as “Temple,” “sex magic,” or spiritual prayer often masks personal agendas, undermining genuine planetary transformation and exploiting vulnerable individuals.
  
• Problematic Adherence to Extreme Ideologies: Rapid adoption of radical aspects of woke culture has led to the endangerment of youth with unbalanced gender ideologies, diminishing the integrity and credibility of our practices.
  
• Lack of Critical Thinking and Intellectual Rigor: Many in the sacred sexuality field are easily swayed by political narratives, hindering critical thinking and rational conversation, which signals an unhealthy community mindset.
  

Celebrating Our Journey

I am incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished together:

• Pioneering Leadership: I have had the honor of pioneering sacred sexual shamanism across North and Central America since 2012, shaping this field with raw passion, dedication, integrity, vision, and love.
  
• Mentorship: I took great pride in mentoring some of the best new facilitators in the Americas and beyond, guiding them to hold workshops powerfully and professionally with care, precision, and deep understanding. Together, we instilled the importance of excellence and sanctity in our work.
  
• Training and Development: In less than a decade, I led and facilitated 75 ISTA trainings and was instrumental in creating and designing ISTA’s Living Level 1 program, eventually giving rise to Living Temple Culture. Over the past three years, alongside my partner, I reinvented the Tantric Latihan practice and co-created the international brand and practice known as “Move in the Mystery.”
  
• Community Building: I established the first Brotherhood Journey as an alternative to traditional men’s work through the ReMENber Brotherhood Journey, offering a new path for authentic male bonding and growth, as well as a dojo to train and prepare male apprentices for facilitation in men’s work and beyond.
  

Throughout my journey, I have been known as a no-nonsense, hard-ass facilitator—someone who rarely let acts lacking integrity or poor standards go unaddressed. This approach was essential in maintaining the quality, authenticity, and safety of our field, ensuring that our sacred work remains honored and respected.

Embracing a New Vision

As I transition into this new phase, my focus shifts to pioneering the development of TMPL MNTN Costa Rica—a visionary project dedicated to creating a sustainable, self-sufficient residential community nestled in the foothills of San Juanillo, Guanacaste. This endeavor will blend the ethereals of temple culture with the natural beauty of Costa Rica’s forests, manifesting a haven for creativity, community, and healthy living.

At TMPL MNTN, we will:

• Secure Lands for Sustainability: Establish community land projects that support self-sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  
• Foster Community Building: Create environments that encourage safe, creative, and committed individuals to collaborate in building heaven on earth.
  
• Integrate Temple Culture: Use the arts to create a prayer field around our real estate endeavors and residential community, fostering a space of reverence, playfulness, joy, and magic.
  
• Connect with the Land through Shamanism: Utilize shamanic practices to deepen our connection and communion with the land, ensuring our community thrives in harmony with nature.
  
• Implement Comprehensive Programs: From entertainment and education to rejuvenation and rewilding, TMPL MNTN will serve as a pioneering resource in the Americas for holistic well-being and spiritual enrichment.
  

Looking Forward

This sabbatical is not a farewell but a continuation of our mission in a new and exciting direction. I will be traveling less to put down roots and dedicate my life force to the pioneering spirit of TMPL MNTN Costa Rica, ensuring that our vision sustains for the next seven generations. We will go deep and near with those who choose to synergize with us, creating one of the most inspiring and impactful residential communities.

I want to express my deep appreciation for the relationships, collaborations, and shared experiences that have made this journey so rewarding. While I will no longer be actively facilitating in the traditional sense, I remain inspired for a future where standards, accountability, transparency, embodiment and evolution are at the forefront of our community. I trust that we will continue to evolve, grow, and claim the sacredness, authenticity, responsibility, and benevolence required for this work.
